Source: Sleeping At Last
You rose from our mother.
Stood against the winds to keep us safe,
Made a pact with the sun and snow,
Sending shivers up our spine.
Your heart and ours are not the same
The armour you wear of green are wearing off.
The ground you stand on is sinking.
Thanks to our endless dreams and greed.
The power you possess,
Is being taken away by us,the careless kind.
The waves break you slowly,
Aquatic redemption begins,
Our dreams were just fallacies.
Now we suffer, realising,
This is suicide.
